The first step is to click on the registration button at the top of the page at the very right hand corner.
Once you click on the registration button a form will be brought up on the screen where you will fill out your personal information. You will also have to select a username and a password toward the bottom of the form.
It is important that you write down your username and password so you don’t forget them. You will want to update your listings to show recent availability information for prospective renters so you’ll have to log in from time to time. Once you enter your username and password you will click the box acknowledging that you agree to our terms and then enter the security code at the bottom of the page.
The security code is one of the ways that we fight spam. Only a live person can view the code so that prevents automated spam engines from registering on the site and gathering inforamation. Once you click the submit button your registration request is sent to us. You will receive an email back from us once your registration is reviewed as another form of validation. Again, this is meant to make sure that the email belongs to a live person. You will click on the link in the email and you will be authorized and ready to enter listings. Now go to the VillagesHomes4Rent.Com and log in using your new username and password. On the home page click the link on the top horizontal menu marked “Place An Ad.”
Select your listing package. Make sure to select the 6 month free listing.
You will be able to enter all of the information for your new listing including address, description, you can pinpoint the listing with the google map (just double click on the map and the pointer will appear, place the marker by dragging it to the location of your property), identify the individual features of the listing and even enter a link to a youtube video if you video of your property.
The next screen will allow you to upload pictures. Make sure your pictures meet the following criteria: Jpg, Jpeg, Gif, Tiff, Bmp or Png files are acceptable. Make sure the files are less than 2.9 megabytes in size. If people are going to have a problem getting their listing online it’s due to pictures that have really large file sizes. Today’s 14 meg cameras are really great for resolution but the file sizes can be huge.
If you have a problem uploading your pictures don’t worry! Please feel free to email them to us at VillagesHomes4Rent@Gmail.Com. We will be happy to upload them for you. We can resize those huge files to fit the site at no charge!
When you are done you are ready to checkout. The next screen will ask you to verify your personal information. Then after that screen you will see a listing preview page. Then after you click continue again you will see the Thank You page!
You will have 6 months free! When it comes time for renewal after 6 months you will have the option of renewing for 6 additional months at $45 or for a full year at $80. With a paid subscription the number of pictures that you can upload increases. With a paid 6 month ad you will be able to upload 15 pictures and with a 1 year paid subscription you can upload up to 20 pictures.
You can pay with check or money order. Just email us and we will send you our address to mail your payment via regular mail. You can also check out using paypal or even a credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover.
